Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect

• Account: email and password (the password is hashed by Supabase; we cannot see it). If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email and profile picture from that account.
• Learning profile: native language, level, goals and daily study time you choose when you start.
• Learning content: answers, sentences you write or say (as text), vocabulary, writing, corrections, progress and learning reports.
• Voice: most speech is turned into text on your phone. For pronunciation scoring and live voice conversations, audio is sent to our servers and Google Gemini for processing; we do not keep recordings of your voice.
• Purchases: payments are handled by the App Store / Google Play and subscriptions are managed by RevenueCat; we never receive card numbers.
• Device and usage: notification token, app version, language, and the number of AI requests used to apply plan limits.

2. How we use data

• To provide lessons, your personal learning path, AI conversations, corrections and progress reports.
• To remind you to study and review (you can turn notifications off at any time).
• To manage subscriptions, usage limits and prevent abuse.
• For security, troubleshooting and improving the service.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

3. AI processing

To create replies, corrections, scores and translations, the relevant learning content (text or audio) is sent to the Google Gemini API. Only what a request needs is sent, never your whole learning history.

4. Processors

• Supabase: accounts and database.
• Google Cloud / Google Gemini: AI processing.
• RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play: subscriptions and payments.
• Expo: push notifications.
• Google and Facebook: only when you choose to sign in with them.

They process data only to provide their service to us, under their own privacy policies.

5. Retention

• Account data and learning progress are kept while your account is active.
• Detailed answers from each exercise are deleted after 90 days; aggregated results (progress, reports) are kept.
• When you delete your account, your account and learning data are deleted; copies in backups are removed on the normal backup cycle.

6. Your rights

• View and edit your profile in the app.
• Delete your account in the app: Settings → Delete account.
• Request a copy of your data or help with deletion at [email protected].
• Turn off notifications in your phone settings.

7. Children

The service is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and is protected by access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we apply reasonable measures to protect your data.

9. Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
